Monday Evening

There have been many changes in my taste bubs and sense of smell. Basically everything makes me gag. I have started using my feeding tube for water and nourishment. The nausea seems to be pretty constant with breaks like now where I am able to do something for a short period. The meds for the nausea knock me out, but that way I am able to rest and time passes.
Everyone's comments have kept me in better spirits and keep me updating the blog

Hey TB,
So how did the new hospital garb go over? That's what attracted the skinny wench!!
Don't let anyone tell you that you are going to like eggplant, that's like saying you're going to like lima beans and beets. 1 week down and 5 to go. We're cheering for you. Just think of the U of MD cannon blasts at the end of each week like we did at Homecoming since we weren't in the stadium!
I have pics to forward. Just think of HK trying to hijack those balloons. Shameful!
Looking forward to seeing you when you are up for company.

Lots of hugs to you.
Joan

If it makes you feel any better, overcooked asparagus makes me gag. The feeding tube i have experienced was inserted via the mouth and i believe it had a funnel on the end of it. it must have supplied some good nourishment for i would find myself waking the next morning in someones front yard.(oh wait, that is another kind of feeding tube, sorry bout that).
Keep feeling better. Thinking of you always.

Hi Randy,
The Snoots family is keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
It's great to see you still have your sense of humor. Any chance we'll see the new "girlfriend" in the next Christmas picture? NO ONE does a better Xmas card than the Fine Family.
Take care Randy and thanks for the updates.
hugs,
Debbie

Hi Randy. Glad to see they can't take away your sense of humor. We have been thinking about you and Weasle a lot lately. You are in our thoughts and prayers regularly. I do have to say that you looked quite dashing for the wedding. After all your treatments are over you and Michael are going to have to compare masks. They gave him his and we still have it in the closet. It has sad but now happy memories. We miss you and do hope that we get to see you soon. Love, Carol

Mr. Fine:

I can't say I've ever experienced a feeding tube, but the night I got the meat stuck in my throat enabled me to have the interesting experience of having to swallow the equivalent of a garden hose to try to clear up the blockage. Sounds like yours is about as much fun as that was. Hang in there, Randy. We're thinking positive thoughts about you, Weasle and the children and sending them your way.

Hey there Uncle Randy,
I'm so glad you made it to the wedding this last weekend. It was a real treat to be able to see you. You looked really good. Aunt Weasle, Laura, and Ellen looked good too and Mike sounded good when I talked to him a week ago. They are a great bunch, those Fine people. Keep each other going and know you've got a lot of other support for the days when that Fine system needs a little boost. I'm thinking of you and praying for strength for you daily.

All my love,
Carli K.

Corny poem from the Nuzzi's:

Tonsil Boy, we like your nickname,
Sorry to hear cancer has brought you "Super Hero" fame.

It's obvious you're loved by many near and far,
We are hoping you'll soon be feeling up to par.

So as you go through chemo & radiation,
Eveyone looks forward with great anticipation

To 2006 when you'll be good to go,
And you'll be able to taste that Diet Coke & Captain Mo!

We love you!

Hey Tonsil Boy,

Just recently found out from LG about your struggles. Know that the Yoffes are pulling for you 1,000%! Support and love from your friends and family are essential treatments along with the conventional and it looks like you got a major arsenal!

In reviewing your site I saw the picture of you with your "new friend", Therabite, and it reminded me of a picture of you in PG Hall. I believe it was in "Six-Pack Jack's" room after an "ice cream social"...your mouth was in the same position! Must have been too much Pralines and Budweiser!

We have always known you as happy-go-lucky laugh at the world type of person and hope you maintain that position even through this difficult treatment plan. No matter what they inflict on your body to try to help you heal, know your spirit is unaffected and the same and we are all here to support that spirit with our prayers and love.

Keep your strength up as we all hope, pray and pull for your recovery. Keep on laughing Randy it's great medicine and remember, this is just a bump in the road!

Yoff
