Another Week almost done

Sorry about not keeping up with the blog, but the nausea has been keeping me down. The mornings seem to start out OK until I get a shot before the morning radiation. I'm getting an experimental drug called Ethyol. It has a 30% chance of saving some of my salivary glands. However, it has some potential side effects, one of them being nausea. But, I'll deal with the nausea for the chance of being in that 30%. I come home about 9:30, take some anti-nausea drug and sleep till 2:25. Then I go back for my 3:00 radiation. At night, I seem to be sleeping well. Weasle & the kids have been wonderful, putting up with my moods, tastes and general ooggieness. Thanks to everyone that has been sending food for Weasle & the girls. This has enabled them to help me. You guys rock my sox! My hope is that some of this nausea is a carry over from last week's chemo and that it will subside by the weekend. Love to all.

Randy,

I've sent 2 messages to you on the Blog site and neither of them went through. I don't what we did wrong ???

I did want you to know that Sheila and I have you in our prayers. You'll come through this and live to tell your grandchildren about it.

You've got more courage , than most of us.........

You've maintained a great sense of humor, more than most of us........

You've been very open about your medical situation, much more than most of us.....

You've maintained a great sense of humility , more than most of us..........

But, then again, at the end of the day....you're a lot stronger and better person........than most of us........

Get well

Steve

Hey Randy,

Glad you're back - missed you the last few days. Reading the blog makes us feel "in touch" without being invasive. Hope the nausea continues to subside - Bern and I think about you constantly! We are here if you need us. Another week behind you.

Love, Bernie & Patti

Hey Cousin,
I was just thinking about you & thought I'd check in & see how you were feeling. Sorry you're feeling ooggie. Even though your spelling leaves much to be desired, your descriptive skills are excellent. Keep writing when you can. I know everyone is trying to keep your spirits up, but I think you wind up lifting everyone elses spirits when we hear from you.
Send our love to Weasle. Oh, and to you, too.
Love, Linda & Marc

Getting thru 2 weeks is nothing to spit at, although hopefully you will be able to spit at it. I'm looking forward to tasteless humor from you.

Stay strong. When you get back, I will take you to Fratelli's for lunch. Their eggplant is quite good.

Tonsil Boy,
3 things;
1. I think there's only one "g" in ooggi, but as is often the case I could be wrong.
2. We ALL hope to be rocking your sox for many more years to come
3. We're thinking about you and praying for you all the time. You're 1/3 of the way finished and next week you'll be halfway home.

loveya,

Hey TB -
I just got back from California this morning - I checked the blog all week from there and nothing, no updates, no nothing. I was about to send you a blistering note to hopefully get you moving on the updates and, voila...there it was. Now I know....you were sleeping the whole time...what a deal, Mr. Fine!! This is hard work for you Randy but you are strong and doing great. I agree with the others, your words keep us going as well. We love you and your family.
