Tonsil Boy

Please excuse poor grammer and spelling. (Weasle has already corrected my grammer twice). Please pass along this site to our friends. Click on "COMMENTS" to read them or to leave a comment.

Tuesday Oct , 2005

There is no modesty in the hopital. In this picture, Nurse Marie is giving me one of the 2 shots I get of Ethyol a 1/2 hour prior to the morning radiation. The Ethyol gives me a 30% chance of saving part of my salivary glands. It may not look it but my legs are getting thinner. You should have seen them before I started losing weight. Great news today from my radiation oncologist----she looked down my throat and said that the cancer is going away on my tonsil!

Thanks for all the support and prayers!!

A special shout out to Melanoma Man, Paul Jackson. Thursday he goes under the knife to have his armpit lymph nodes removed. This is due to having a cancerous mole removed plus 1 of 3 cancerous lymph nodes removed last month. All our prayers are with him and Rhonda.

Oh geez. It's one thing to have a picture without your shirt on, but to have your pants down around your ankles...dude! When do we get to see the pimple on your ass? You've got a long way to go to have chicken legs like Sandy.

Great news! the cancer is going bye-bye...wahoo!

Randy,
That is absolutely fantastic news about the cancer on your tonsil!!!
It's got be hugely encouraging to know that all you're going through is working...and will continue.
Just think by this weekend you'll be halfway home free. Thanks for the shout out. I'm ashamed to say that I HAVE seen you in a similar pose (pants down around your ankles and seated though not in such a nice chair)once or twice in our long acquaintance. Keep the good mojo goin'.

loveya,

Hey TB,
Whatever happened to the garb you spent all that time shopping for!!
Congrats on the FABULOUS news from the good doc. Perhaps having the skinny wench around has had a few benefits!
I too have seen you in similar poses. Remember the trip to St. Mary's county with the bus crew and the inner tubes. I guess you had to dress up for Nurse Marie.
I hear another cannon blast!
Hope to see you on the downhill after this week.
Thinking of you...
Joan

Randy - My name is Shirley, I'm Robin's friend from King George Va. My husband has the strange name Blight, ring bells. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that your in our prayers. My 19 year old niece has ovarian cancer and is going thru chemo. Her attitude is just like yours, very upbeat. Keep up the good work. It will be worth it. GOD Bless....

Randy:

Please pull your pants up right away. Nobody needs to see that except for Weasle, and even she is probably tired of it.

Glad to hear the good report from your doctor!

Randy,

Great news from the doctor! Your hard work and everyones prayers are paying off for sure! You are almost half way there....keep up the hard work. As far as the pants around your ankles go.....never thought we would see that (don't want to see it again either). Guess it's worth seeing you like that if you can save some of your salivary glands....Take care TB...we are thinking about you, the Weas and the kids.

Love,
Joe & Becky

Hey Randy,
No, our internet is still not working. I am writing to you from school. Since I can't type, I came in extra early in hopes that I will finish writing this before the students come in!! I know, I should have been listening during typing class, but I'm a Fine and I had better things to do!! Anyway, I'm so glad to hear about the cancer getting smaller. I knew you could do it! If anyone of us is a fighter, you are. I'm so proud of you! I also want to take this opportunity to thank all of your friends and family that have done so much to support you, Weasle and the kids, and help out. As everyone can see, it has really helped. Randy, we love you and continue to pray for you. Hang in there.
Love your loving sister, Dale

Hey Randy -

Stephen has kept us updated on your progress and just sent this blog site. You are in our thoughts and prayers!

If Michael needs anything while he's at school, tell him to let us know - we're just a few miles away.

Thanks for the shelf you made for the boys' bunk -- it's probably the main reason Steve actually makes some of his am classes (having his alarm close by)!!

take care and hang in....

Another corny poem:

As we look at your picture, you appear pretty svelte,
In order to keep your pants up, you'll need more holes in your belt!

Your fellow Blogsters are happy that the cancer has begun to shrink,
This calls for a toast to Randy - so let's all have a drink!

Randy:
Your news this week is terrific - prayers do get answered. We are so glad to see that you still have your sense of humor! Still think of you everyday. And, I must say, that I think you have some great looking legs - continue to show that skin and be proud!

Love,

Patti (& Bernie, too - but he is not "in" on the leg comment!)

Man, it's the little things in life isn't it? -- a nice walk, more listening and less talking, a day without nausea, a skinny girlfriend, a note from a friend, a prayer, sleep uninterrupted by spit and a sense of humor. You are on it and on track! Thanks for bringing us on board with you. You are an inspiration. Ahhh to have our priorities straight! Sheila
